While the name of the album is a nod to San Antonio’s infamous “ghost tracks” legend, the cover of the album came from a picture I took in Alaska – right before riding the world’s longest zipline.
It was a foggy day, especially at the top of the mountain – which gave the whole experience an extra eerie vibe; so it really only took a few added subtle elements and textures in Photoshop to boost the “spookiness factor”.
I love that perspective shot of the zip lines fading into the distance. It all just seemed to work so perfectly as another “tracks” metaphor.
By the way – I also discovered a “light drizzle” feels a lot different at 60MPH. Would I ride the ZipRider again? It’s a definite maybe!
